Engagement ring Ksenia

In designing this piece, I worked to highlight the stone as much as possible, while also reflecting what I somehow sensed about the client and his future fiancée. I also wanted to infuse the ring with a sense of playfulness. So I created a sort of cup—a small, hemispherical bowl—in which the stone pyrop is set. The hemisphere in which the stone pyrop is set can be gently rotated. This allows the stone to change positions, potentially creating a “secret language”—the position of the stone determines its meaning, and so on.
